Wear appropriate footwear and clothing
- You will be at a working farm, and the ground may be rough or uneven in spots - please watch your step!

Be sure to bring a CLEAN container and water - Flowers do best when hydrated right after cutting. Bringing a vase/container of water to your visit will help ensure that the blooms last longer at home! Vases should be clean and filled with clean water.

Bring your own clippers or scissors - We do have scissors available, but we can not guarantee availability. Clippers and scissors should be used by adults only.

Children welcome - We ask that children are respectful of the field/flowers and supervised by an adult at all times.

Self Serve - The garden is self serve, and on the honor system. Cash and Venmo accepted. Payments must be made in the farm stand.

How To Properly Cut Flowers

Hold the flower just below the blossom. Lightly grip so you do not crush the stem or accidentally break the flower.

With clean sharp clippers/scissors cut one individual stem at a time. Be sure to cut long stems. Long stems allow you to fit more in your vessel and also is better for the plant.

Gently remove the bottom 2/3 of the leaves so there is no foliage in the water (which can cause rot and promote bacteria).

Cut flowers in the morning or evening, if possible. The stems are most hydrated then, which means less wilting and longer-lasting blooms. A flower cut in the middle of the day won't last quite as long as one cut when the sun is low.
